Greg McAllister 2024 – 2026
Greg McAllister – Executive, Trade Secrets, & Governance Litigation
Greg McAllister leads IMcP’s executive and governance litigation practice. He represents senior executives, founders, equity holders, financial advisors, and enterprise decision-makers in high-stakes disputes involving compensation, fiduciary obligations, restrictive covenants, and control of sophisticated enterprises.
Greg’s reputation is built on preparation, precision, and relentless execution.
Executive & Enterprise Conflict
Greg’s clients are often facing their toughest professional and personal circumstances. They need someone they can trust, especially when they need it most. They rely on Greg’s experience to be strategic, aggressive, and focused on the end goals. His practice focuses on:

- Executive compensation and equity litigation
- C-suite separation, severance, and transition disputes
- Non-compete/non-solicit restrictive covenant litigation, often involving TROs and injunctions
- Partnership and ownership breakdown
- Trade secret and competitive transition litigation, including in healthcare for physicians and health care practitioners
- Financial brokers regarding U5, defamation, expungement, and 8210 investigations
- Governance conflict within closely held and regulated enterprises
These disputes are rarely procedural. They are strategic contests over leverage, control, and reputation. Greg is known for exhaustive preparation and disciplined aggression in motion practice, discovery, and courtroom advocacy. In high-level executive litigation, endurance and precision matter. Greg brings both.
Governance & Fiduciary Litigation
Executive disputes often evolve into broader governance conflict. Greg litigates:

- Breach of fiduciary duty claims
- Director and officer liability
- Minority equity and oppression disputes
- Enterprise control battles
- Capital structure conflict in closely held and venture-backed entities
He operates comfortably in disputes where enterprise value and institutional relationships are under direct challenge.
Integrated Enterprise Litigation
Greg’s work frequently intersects with the firm’s:
- Securities and regulatory litigation
- Bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings
- Digital asset enterprise disputes
- Capital and governance conflict arising from distressed companies
Within IMcP’s integrated platform, he serves as a strategic driver in matters where executive litigation overlaps with enterprise-level exposure.
FINRA Arbitration
Greg’s FINRA arbitration work includes high-producing financial advisors, branch managers, and brokers regarding U5, defamation, and 8210 investigations. These claims often include U5 “weaponization,” wrongful termination, unfair competition, and unlawful forfeiture of compensation.
His arbitration work has resulted in full U5 expungement. And as a FINRA Arbitrator, Greg has additional and unique perspective that he brings to representing financial advisors and teams.
Litigation Philosophy
Greg believes high-stakes litigation demands:
- Absolute command of the record
- Strategic sequencing of pressure points
- Direct partner involvement
- Refusal to yield ground unnecessarily
- Preparation that exceeds the opposition
As a founding partner of a nationally competitive trial boutique, he is personally engaged in every significant engagement — from early leverage analysis through trial. He prepares to win.
Wide-ranging experience
Greg’s career began at a premier Dallas litigation firm, where he learned under multiple partners considered “lions” of the State Bar of Texas. He left and quickly made partner at one of the world’s largest law firms. As a result, his experience covers a wide range of industries, such as oil/gas, fintech, blockchain, healthcare, real estate, retail, and others. These matters cover pre-suit work (negotiations, mediations, and Rule 202 depositions), arbitration, and litigation.
Sports lessons
Greg’s experience playing and coaching football taught teamwork, mental toughness, and tenacity. Those lessons are applicable in litigation when developing case strategy, negotiating contracts, and grinding through the tough cases.
Recognition, Community, and Texas Litigator’s Guide to Departing Employee Cases
Greg is repeatedly recognized in D Magazine Best Lawyers, Texas Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyer.
