Andrew Edson represents companies and individuals in bankruptcy, financial restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, and collection matters in Texas and frequently across the United States. He brings fifteen years of experience from an international law firm tailored now to assisting clients.

Andrew advises secured and unsecured creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy cases, including lift-stay and adequate-protection motions, proofs of claim, cash-collateral disputes, valuation proceedings, avoidance actions, disclosure statements and plans of reorganization, and discovery and dispositive motions in bankruptcy litigation. He counsels corporate debtors in their reorganization efforts and assists trustees with asset recovery and liquidation strategies, including Section 363 sales and other court-approved transactions. He has represented private equity entities in the purchase of bankruptcy estate assets through Section 363 sales.
Andrew has deep experience representing lenders and equipment lessors in bankruptcy filings and out-of-court workouts to protect and preserve collateral. His work includes advising on and conducting UCC Article 9 sales of inventory and equipment, obtaining adequate-protection payments, and securing relief from the automatic stay to repossess and liquidate collateral. He also advises international manufacturers in corporate bankruptcies to protect inventory, assert claims, and negotiate favorable plan treatment, and has obtained full payment of claims in Section 363 sales.

He also maintains a robust bankruptcy litigation practice with respect to avoidance actions and the prosecution and defense of former directors and officers of corporate entities seeking bankruptcy protection.
Andrew earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He has been recognized for his work in business bankruptcy by publications including D Magazine’s Best Lawyers and Texas Super Lawyers. He is also the co-author of “Bankruptcies in the Crypto Industry,” reflecting his experience with emerging issues at the intersection of insolvency and digital assets.
